Ken Bell and friends were out for a day of fluke fishing on Friday. Before they dropped bait for the flatties, Capt Rob suggested a bit of trolling for Striped Bass. It didn't take long for one of the big spoons to attract it's prey. They boated one bass weighing 26 pounds, and released 2 other shorts. Those little guys must have been pretty hungry to hit those big spoons. While they were trolling the Last One passed by a dead Sturgeon floating that had to be 7 foot long. By mid morning the guys were ready to try their skills at Fluking. They fished tight to the beach and had a good drift for several hours. The keeper to throw back ratio was pretty good. Nothing huge, but they went back to the dock with 8 nice keepers.
