The Mike Fendora charter wanted to go out and catch Striped Bass. Captain Rob delivered just what the doctor ordered, Striped Bass....and lots of them. The "Last One" headed north out of Shark River Inlet in search of schools of bunker. It wasn't long before the Captain Rob and a few of the other boats from our dock found themselves in the middle of a bass blitz. The Stripers pushed the bunker to the surface and had them pinned up against the side of the boats. What a sight it is to see 40 pound bass swallowing 2 pound bunker right in front of your eyes. The group was literally picking individual fish and casting plugs in front of their faces. They lost count of how many fish were caught. Six fish went into the box and the rest were released. This was one of those days that will be talked about for a long time.
